Rule number one is listen to your instructor, good or bad - listen to your instructor. Doing something you are not ready for is harmful to your future playing.

The High School Hornist

There are many fine high school players out there. You'll have to share some of your playing experiences here. If you are having issues with a certain piece, or even a technique - there is probably some of us that can help you. But - rule number one - listen to your instructor. If you don't have a horn teacher and you plan on furthering your horn education - find a horn teacher out. Go to www.hornplayer.net to find one in the teachers database in your area.
